SIL IPA Fonts. The fine folks at The Summer Institute of Linguistics provide downloadable IPA fonts in True Type and PostScript Type 1 formats free of charge. Both Mac and Windows formats are available, and the fonts will work with most keyboards. The SIL-IPA free fonts contain the smaller set of IPA phonemes used by singers for Romance-language transcription, but if you need a larger, more comprehensive set of phonemes, they offer those for a small fee.
