Science: More life in Field and Stream

I worked at a few other kinds of jobs before deciding biology is the career for me. At the University of Texas I completed a B.S. in Biology, with a specialty in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation. Below are several pictures taken while I was completing my degree work.

Here I'm wading out into a pond to scoop up macrobenthic organisms. Macrobenthic organisms are big enough that you can see them without a microscope, and they live on the bottom of ponds, lakes, etc. The pond looks a lot prettier in this picture than it did in person.
