Science: My life in Field and Stream

Currently I work for the Bureau of Reclamation in Austin, Texas as a Natural Resource Specialist.  I oversee water quality projects and assist with NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) compliance on Reclamation projects in Texas, Oklahoma, and southern Kansas. The photo below was taken at Twin Buttes Dam in San Angelo, Texas. This is a demonstration grass seeding project with TNRCC to help prevent erosion on the dam face. Click the picture to see a larger image.

Before that, I worked as a groundwater hydrotech for USGS in Georgia. I studied groundwater flows and got to travel around Georgia, collecting and processing data from around the state.

The following picture was taken in Vidalia, Georgia.  This is one of the wells that uploads data via satellite.
